Methods for producing a plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into 2PKRZ44R include one or both of backcross conversion and transformation. Hybrid sorghum seed, plants or plant parts produced by crossing the sorghum variety 2PKRZ44R or a locus conversion of 2PKRZ44R with another sorghum variety are disclosed.
