Zusammenfassung:	Provided are a method and an apparatus for transmitting and sharing multimedia content. A method in which a second client receives, from a server, multimedia content provided by the server to a first client, includes: receiving, from the first client, sharing information regarding at least one piece of the multimedia content, the at least one piece being selected to be shared from among pieces of the multimedia content received by the first client; generating request information of the multimedia content based on the sharing information; transmitting the request information to a server in which the multimedia content is stored; and receiving the multimedia content retrieved by the server based on the request information, wherein the multimedia content is provided together with feature information representing details of the multimedia content.
