description The present invention relates to an injection apparatus for injecting a pharmaceutical liquid drug into the skin of a user. The outer shell of the injection apparatus is a protective shield (10) divided into different segments (10a, 10b). Further, the segments are provided with tilting means (14, 15) which are activated to move neighboring segments (10a, 10b) apart upon relative axial movement of one or more segments (10a, 10b) whenever an uneven force is applied to the distal end of the shield.
