description [Problem] To shorten the delay time that is taken before a countdown stop process is carried out at a fire alarm receiver when said countdown stop process is instructed remotely by a user using an emergency stop switch. [Solution] A fire alarm receiver 10 starts a countdown upon receipt of either a sensor signal which is outputted from a fire sensor 2 or an activation signal which is outputted from a manual discharge switch 6. Upon receipt of a stop signal which is outputted from an emergency stop switch 7 prior to the end of the countdown, the countdown is stopped. When the countdown ends, a fire extinguishing gas is discharged from a jet head 3. The fire alarm receiver 10 receives the stop signal outputted from the emergency stop switch 7 with higher priority than the sensor signal outputted from the fire sensor 2.
