Method of using hollow sphere polymers

A method of using heat resistant hollow sphere polymers having a core stage that has been swollen with a hard or fixed base, in applications in which the hollow sphere polymer is exposed to temperatures of from 100°C to 350°C, is provided. Articles made by the method are also provided.
