System and method for synchronizing for wireless devices

A system and method for synchronizing for wireless devices. The method is provided to synchronize a local data storage on a mobile terminal with a remote data storage located on a server. To minimize communication between the mobile terminal and the server, there are two ways of synchronization in this method: fast synchronization and normal synchronization. The method includes: (a) deciding the type of data to be synchronized, if the data are read only, fast synchronization is used, otherwise normal synchronization is used; (b) sending a request for data synchronizing to the server; (c) sending a response of the request back to the mobile terminal; (d) updating data stored in the local data storage.
