Zusammenfassung:	A pump for a heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) system includes a pump body defining a compression chamber. The HVAC&R system also includes a piston housing coupled to the pump body. The piston housing includes a piston cavity. The HVAC&R system further includes a piston disposed within the piston housing. The piston includes a plunger section configured to reciprocate between the compression chamber and the piston cavity. Additionally, the piston includes a head section configured to reciprocate within the piston cavity. Furthermore, the HVAC&R system includes a solenoid coil configured to induce a magnetic force on the piston. Further, the HVAC&R system includes a controller configured to control flow of a current through the solenoid coil to control reciprocation of the piston within the piston cavity.
