Zusammenfassung: | A magnetic encoder (100) comprises a magnetic scale unit (101) and a position detection unit (105) that move relative to each other. The magnetic scale unit (101) includes: a magnet group (102) in which three or more magnets having the same magnetization direction are arranged in the x direction; and a magnet group (103) which is adjacent to the magnet group (102) in the x direction and in which three or more magnets having the opposite magnetization direction are arranged in the x direction. The position detection unit (105) includes a magnetic sensor (106) that detects a magnetic field generated from the magnetic scale unit (101). The magnets in the magnet group (102) are arranged such that the widths of the magnets increase going toward the center from the ends, and each magnet width is smaller than the magnet pitch. The magnets in the magnet group (103) are arranged such that the widths of the magnets increase going toward the center from the ends, and each magnet width is smaller than the magnet pitch. |
