The present invention relates to an automatic cutting depth adjustment system for a cutting tool machine and an adjustment method of the same, in which a hydraulic drive unit is connected to a punch and the hydraulic drive unit is connected to a potentiometer. In this way, when the material is stamping and cutting, the hydraulic drive unit drives the punch down, at the same time, the potentiometer connected with the hydraulic drive unit operates synchronously to obtain the actual stroke of the punch, and then compare it with the preset stroke of the punch to obtain the overcutting displacement caused by the delay of the hard body signal, etc., and obtain the required cutting depth by the correction. Accordingly, the invention ensures the accuracy of material cutting and avoids incessant cutting or overcutting during the cutting process.
