Zusammenfassung:	The invention proposes a quick edge-detecting method in WEDM, with a charged wire electrode quickly close to the edge of the work-piece, and reduce the line tension of the wire electrode, through detection of the voltage or pulse changes at both ends between the wire electrode and the work-piece, first with a lower line tension so that the wire electrode and the work-piece to do a rapid relative motion close, and reverse disengagement motion, by the detection voltage change to find the initial edge position; Then with a high line tension so that the wire electrode and the work-piece to do low-speed relative motion close, and then reverse out of motion, by the detection of voltage changes to find the position of the edge. The above method can be applied to the quick edge-detecting operation of rounding center, slot width or plate width, which can greatly shorten the edge-detecting time and the effect of high-precision edge-detecting of the work-piece.
