Zusammenfassung:	Described herein is a system that includes a copilot device that can be installed as "aftermarket" within a vehicle in order to enable various functionality that would not typically be available for the vehicle. In some embodiments, the copilot device includes a number of cameras and sensors that collect information related to a vehicle in which the copilot device is installed. The copilot device is also communicatively coupled to the vehicle itself and receives data directly from the vehicle. The copilot device is capable of generating a data file that includes a number of data types that are synchronized based on time.
