description The present invention relates to a protective film of an optical membrane used in the backlight module of a planar LCD. The protective film mainly has a non-adhesive layer and an adhesive layer. The non-adhesive layer and the adhesive layer are made of two or more materials of polyolefin or polyolefin elastomer or vinyl acetate. Following the preparation of ingredients, the materials are extruded by an extruder. After the extrusion, the protective film is subjected to cooling and tempering processes to ensure dimensional stability of the protective film at different temperatures.
