description The present invention relates to an emergency medical service system for providing emergency medical service to patients. The emergency medical service system includes a transport vehicle, a portable physiologic signal-sensing module, a first application gateway, a second application gateway and a medical server. The portable physiologic signal-sensing module arranged in the transport vehicle senses physiologic condition of the patient and generates a physiologic signal wirelessly. The first application gateway arranged in the transport vehicle receives the physiologic signal and transmits the physiologic signal via WiMAX network. A base station receives and transmits the physiologic signal to the second application gateway and the medical server in a back-end hospital to allow the medical staff of the back-end hospital to analyze the physiologic signal in real-time.
