Zusammenfassung:	The invention is to provide a method for calibration a focus error signal, which firstly testes all kinds of DVD-RAM discs to establish a proportion list for the amplitude of the focus error signal of an embossed area and rewritable area, performs a focusing course on the embossed area of a DVD-RAM disc, measures and calibrates the amplitude of the focus error signal, finds out a proportion from the proportion list based on the type and the state of the DVD-RAM disc, multiplies the proportion by the amplitude of the focus error signal of the embossed area to calculate the amplitude of the focus error signal of the rewritable area, and compares with a predetermined target amplitude for selecting the gain of the rewritable area to finish the calibration.
