System and method for managing personal information

A system for managing personal information is provided. The system includes a receiving module for receiving information transmitted from a communication device; a registering module for providing a register interface for finishing registering of a user, acquiring a registered username, and allocating a storing area for the user to upload personal information and a contact list of the user; a managing module for managing the personal information and the contact list, identifying if the user updates the personal information, and designating contact person(s) to inform the updated personal information of the user; and a transmitting module for transmitting the updated personal information to the designated contact person(s). A related method for managing personal information is also disclosed. By utilizing the system and the related method, the information stored in the communication device may be managed effectively.
