Multi-functional intelligent transportation system (ITS) Beacon mechanism

This invention provides a multi-functional intelligent transportation system beacon (ITS Beacon) that uses information system technology to integrate and implement short-distance wireless communication, image recognition and network monitoring and maintenance, including six modules, namely, an on-board unit, a communication unit, a law enforcement unit, a peripheral equipment control unit, a matching and integrating unit and a system main control unit. The hardware and software equipment of each system unit cooperate by configuring the common parameters of each module, such that the Beacon may be implemented in various ITS. The system is able to receive instant commands from a remote control center via an interface between networks and the remote system, for transmitting transaction data to the control center for processing of billing, accounting and computing processes.
