The invention describes a process for regenerating cellulose fibers from waste textile containing both cellulose and synthetic fibers, preferably, a polyester-cotton blend. According to the invention, the textile is treated with a cellulose solvent to dissolve cellulose fibers present therein, and to obtain a cellulose solution. This solution is then separated from the synthetic fibers and is used as a feed solution for spinning of high-quality regenerated cellulose fibers. |
