These properties make propolis an ideal candidate for use as a functional ingredient in food. Raw propolis is dissolved in ethyl alcohol with a concentration of at least 50% (vol.) in a ratio of 1:3 to 1:10 and applied to a suitable carrier, preferably an extruded material of plant origin. The mixture is then dried at a temperature of 60°C. The material obtained in this way can be ground and used, for example, in capsules as a nutritional supplement, or separately, for example, in yogurt and cereals.
Propolis je živicový produkt zbieraný včelami z rôznych druhov rastlín, ktorý obsahuje množstvo zlúčenín s biologickou aktivitou, okrem iného antibakteriálnou, antioxidačnou a protizápalovou aktivitou. Vďaka týmto vlastnostiam je propolis ideálnym kandidátom na použitie ako funkčná zložka v potravinách. Surový propolis sa rozpustí v etylalkohole s koncentráciou minimálne 50 % (obj.) v pomere 1 : 3 až 1 : 10 a nanesie sa na vhodný nosič, výhodne extrudovaný materiál rastlinného pôvodu. Následne sa zmes usuší pri teplote 60 °C. Takto získaný materiál sa dá pomlieť a použiť napríklad v tobolkách ako výživový doplnok alebo samostatne napríklad do jogurtu a cereálií. |
