Zusammenfassung:	Dried sludge from waste water is produced as an even granular prod., devoid of dust, suitable for speading as an agricultural manure, utilising a a rotary drum dryer, to which the wet sludge is fed after blending with some recycled dried prod., the heated air feed to which is drawn by a fan downstream at cyclone separators, thus avoiding wear on fan, and pulverization of prod. Most of the air is recycled to the dryer heater, and that part discharged to atmos. is cleaned by a chemical scrubber, (or e.g a catalytic combustion unit), thus obviating offensive odours around site.
