Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely neurology, and can be used for ultrasonic diagnosis of transient extravasal compression of vertebral artery (VA) in a channel of transverse processes at the level of vertebral motor segments (VMS) C0-C6. Dopplerometric of blood flow in VA in the third segment of 2 or 4 MHz pancreatic sensor of suboccipital approach in a patient's position on the back with a neutral head position is performed. That is combined with recording a time-average bloodstream linear velocity (BLV) for each VA in rest (V). Then samples are taken: 1) three consecutive head movements to the right and to the left with neutral position of neck; 2) three consecutive head movements to the right and to the left with fixed extension of neck; 3) three consecutive head movements to the right and to the left with fixed neck bending; 4) three consecutive head-to-back movements. After each sample, both PA are insonified in the initial position and a time-averaged BLV is recorded in each VA during the second-third cardiac cycles (V). Further, a reactivity factor Ifor each VA for each sample: I=(V/V-1)×100 %. If value Iexceeds the range of [-30 %; +30 %] and is accompanied by developing ischemia symptoms in the vertebrobasilar system - vertigo, nausea, ringing in the ears, vertebral artery syndrome is diagnosed. At that, in case Iexceeds the interval [-30 %; +30 %] after the head rotations in the neutral position of the neck, VA compression at the C2-C5 level. In case Iexceeds the interval [-30 %; +30 %] after the head turns with fixed neck extension, VA compression at S5-S6 level. In case Iexceeds the interval [-30 %; +30 %] after the head turns with fixed neck bending, VA compression at the C1-C2 level.
