Изобретение относится к новому способу получению циклических ацеталей, которые находят применение в качестве растворителей, компонентов лакокрасочных материалов и субстратов в тонком органическом синтезе. Способ заключается в том, что проводят процесс конденсации этиленгликоля с альдегидами различного строения в сверхкритических условиях при температуре 390°C и давлении 300 атм в присутствии следующих компонентов, мас.%: этиленгликоль 87,4; масляный (изомасляный) альдегид 12,6; или этиленгликоль 84 бензальдегид 16.
