Zusammenfassung:FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: for automated blood cell analysis by leukocytes description based on the optical features of nuclei structure, quantitative characteristics of blood cells, which values are obtained by calculations based on measurements made on microscopic images of the white blood cell nucleus internal structures are determined by means of a computer image analyzer. At that, the blood cell nucleus images are presented as a set of light and dark objects - structural elements reflecting characteristic analysis of objects visually observable in a microscopic image, such as "grain" in the rough chromatin structure image, "cells" in the network structure of chromatin. Selection of light and dark structural elements in the blood cell nucleus image is performed by segmentation combining binarization with different levels of threshold restriction with application of conjunction and disjunction logic functions to combine the parts of objects. At that, for a quantitative description of the selected structural elements corresponding to the optical characteristics of blood cell nucleus structure, the following morphological characteristics are measured: the area S, the mean radius Ra, the root mean square radius Rms, the maximum radius Rmax and the minimum radius Rmin, the moment of inertia Mi, the relative moment of inertia Kmi (object moment of inertia and equivalent circle moment of inertia ration), the relative perimeter Rr (half perimeter and multiplied area square root ration π), the average Feret diameter Da, the maximum Dmax, the minimum Dmin and the root mean square Feret diameter Dms, Kd - the ratio of the maximum Feret diameter and the minimum Feret diameter; quantitative characteristics of the blood cell are calculated for a group of blood cell nucleus structural elements: Sda - the total of average Feret diameters, Sf - total sum of shape coefficients, Srms - the total of rms radii; SDMS - the total of rms diameters, Smir - the total of objetcs relative moments of inertia.
