Disclosed is method of determining angle of inclination and direction of cracks incidence in core material, wherein core material is laid onto fixed tray, along which device is moved, determining core material intersection distance by cracks. At that initially in core material samples primary state estimate is carried out, then core material is joined with formation of core column 4 and using marker conditional line Z-Z is applied along the whole length of core column 4. Further, core material is washed and core column 4 is placed on fixed tray, then by means of personal computer with appropriate software parameters of shooting are set and successively scanning "L" sections of the first side "A" along the arc "H" of core column from 0 to 180°+2-3°. Then scanning unit is returned to initial position, core column is covered with second locking tray and fixing trays with core column are turned for 180° relative to conditional side "A" and in software settings survey of core column on the side of "B" is selected, which is installed on already scanned side "A" place. Then side "B" is scanned similarly to side "A" scanning process, that is shots of core column sides "A" and "B" are made, which are placed in common data base of analyzed core material and linked together in a single picture, which is flat developed view of the entire core column scanned surface.
