description FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly radiation diagnostics and angiosurgery. Preliminary delay time of scanning start from intravenous injection is defined, multislice spiral computer tomographic angiography is performed on computer tomography with intravenous bolus contrasting, and image reconstruction and analysis is implemented. Preliminary delay time of scanning start from intravenous injection is defined by Test Boulus program. Scanning is performed in caudal direction from upper head segments up to aortic arch. Scan width for examination is defined within 0.6-1.0 mm. Intracranial arteries and Willis artery are scanned at starting phase of contrast saturation, carotid arteries and neck vessels are examined in plateau phases of contrast saturation, and brachiocefalic ateries, including aortic arch, are scanned in late phase of contrast saturation with the last contrast bolus portion received from pulmonary circulation, and if vessel lumen shrinkage and/or occlusion is registered then stenosis is diagnosed. For tall patient examination, the contrast medium is injected at 3.5-4 ml/second rate for the first 10 seconds, and at 1.7-2.5 ml/second rate for the following 25-35 seconds. ^ EFFECT: improved diagnostic accuracy. ^ 2 cl, 3 ex
