description FIELD: electricity. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of electrical engineering and is highly relevant for design of controlled electric drives of general-purpose industrial machinery and transportation vehicles, in particular - on-board power system equipment of motor cars, tractors, cross-country vehicles etc. Conceptually the invention consists in the synchronous reluctance machine stator being wrapped in multiphase power winding, uniformly distributed along the stator inner bore and enabling connection to a valve inverter, and multiphase full-pitch excitation winding providing for connection to controlled exciters. The invention concept envisages a rectangular shape design of the stator core stack, with the excitation winding coils being laid in additional grooves arranged at the stack corners. ^ EFFECT: improved efficiency of electrotechnical steel utilisation in the process of synchronous reluctance machinery fabrication. ^ 5 dwg
