Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. ^ SUBSTANCE: subtotal three-port vitrectomy is performed, epiretinal membranes are removed. Perfluoroctane sulfonate (PFOS) is injected into vitreal cavity, and endolaser retina coagulation is performed. Then eyeball is tilted towards sclerectomy orifice where work end of cannula for heavy silicon oil injection is entered. Heavy silicon oil injection commences with preservation of eyeball tilt until complete removal of physiological solution from space between PFOS surface and crystalline lens diaphragm through opposite sclerectomy orifice. Further PFOS is replaced with silicon oil. ^ EFFECT: reduced retina separation relapse risk due to total tamponade of vitreal cavity by heavy silicon oil. ^ 2 ex |
