They are required for control of various objects with short-term motion manipulation and have great range of applications. Purpose of invention is solving of the specified challenge due to application of planar stripe waveguides (PSW) with creep group speed of light wave vg propagation. For this purpose it is offered to use PSW resonator with the premodulated refractive effective index so that spatial modulation period is rather less than half light wave length in waveguide. Such modulation can provide considerable wave delay in waveguide just as it occurs in photon crystals. To achieve mentioned technical result in planar gyroscope containing circular interferometer loop on optical waveguide with connected phase optical modulator, which is connected by the ends to two output ends of X- coupler (or to two Y- couplers), light wave source is connected to one of two input ends of coupler. Another input end is connected to photodetector. Optical waveguide is PSW periodically modulated refractive effective index. Spatial modulation period is preset rather less than half light wave length in waveguide. Resulted from of light wave group speed delay in group speed ring of interferometer, required frequency of phase modulator is reduced. ^ EFFECT: required frequency of phase modulator is reduced. ^ 1 dwg
