Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline valves and accessories, in particular to check gates with rotary plates designed to shut off backflows in pipelines, primarily, those of gaseous working media. The check gate has a body with inlet and outlet working medium branch pipes, a shut-off plate fitted on the rotary shaft and a working medium guiding device arranged in the inlet branch pipe. A confuser is arranged in the said branch pipe accommodating a guiding device. The guiding device incorporates the confuser. The inlet section of this confuser is arranged at the level of the rotary shaft section, while the outlet section of the former towards the working medium deflector with the shut-off plate OPEN position. The working medium deflector is arranged on the shut-off plate rear side. ^ EFFECT: lower backflow drag provided by efficient use of the working medium velocity head for opening check gate and holding it open. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg
