Manufacturing process comprises tarring of mixture including solution of epoxide resin in furfurol and sulfuric acid through mixing these components for a period of time constituting 65-90% of mixture gelation time followed by molding, gelation, and solidification of spherical granules by dispersing mixture into mineral oil layer preheated to 90-120°C. Granules are allowed to lay under oil layer until cooling, after which granules are carbonized at temperature raise rate 12-16°C/min to final temperature 850°C within medium of gases released during thermodestruction process and then activated. ^ EFFECT: improved gas adsorption properties of activated carbon and improved mechanical strength characteristics thereof. ^ 2 cl, 1 tbl, 5 ex
