description | FIELD: production of aluminum hydroxochloride for cleaning potable and waste water. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes two stages: at first stage commercial aluminum hydroxide is dissolved in hydrochloric acid at atmospheric pressure and boiling point of solution at excess of aluminum hydroxide relative to stoichiometry equal to 20-100% for obtaining aluminum hydroxochloride solution at atomic ratio of Al/Cl=0.35-0.45; at second stage aluminum hydroxochloride solution obtained at the first stage is subjected to neutralization for obtaining the solution of preset basicity and concentration of Al2O3 of 9.0-12.6 mass-%. For dissolving the commercial aluminum hydroxide, use is made of hydrochloric acid at concentration of 15-25 mass-%. At second stage, sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide or calcium carbonate or calcium oxide or calcium hydroxide or metallic aluminum is used for neutralization of aluminum hydroxochloride solution. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of product; low cost of process. ^ 4 cl, 2 tbl |
