description | FIELD: railway transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of combination hopper car for transportation of alumina and products of its processing. Proposed combination hopper car 1 has running gear, hopper compartment 5 and carried material chamber adjoining hopper compartment at ends and provided with door apertures 8 for motor cars, rigidly connected with frame equipped with bolsters. Hopper car has four turnable struts 9. Upper end of each strut thrusts against place of connection of separating wall between hopper compartment and carried material chamber and upper binding of car side wall, and lower end rests on bolster, thus forming truss shape unit with load-bearing hopper and frame. Turnable struts are hinge connected to hopper compartment at corners. Seats for turnable struts are made on bolsters to mount turnable extensible rods. ^ EFFECT: reduced weight of car at preservation of its load-carrying capacity. ^ 3 cl, 4 dwg |
