description FIELD: medicine, allergology, otorhinolaryngology. ^ SUBSTANCE: the method deals with obtaining nasal secreta to detect free hemoglobin there. Nasal secreta should be obtained due to mechanical irritating nasal mucosa by placing a small ball out of a bundle of wool-like polyacrylonitrilic fiber into each nasal half for 15 min followed by transferring these balls into 2.7%-sodium ethylene diaminotetraacetate solution. After squeezing and removing the balls this solution should be centrifuged to remove erythrocytes. I obtained supernatant liquid one should immunometrically detect the concentration of free hemoglobin and at concentration values being 12 mcg/ml and higher one should diagnose allergic rhinitis. The method provides high specificity of differential diagnostics. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics. ^ 2 ex, 2 tbl
