description | FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting and transportation machinery, namely to double-acting hydraulic cylinders designed for extending and retracting outrigger beams of slewing gears of crane-and-manipulator plants. Proposed hydraulic cylinder contains housing with welded-to bottom, detachable through cover and pin-type end connectors, one-sided hollow rod with piston and end connector in form of screw0in eye with split ball bearing, supporting-and-sealing members of movable and fixed joints, mud scraper and channels to feed working liquid provided with threaded connecting unions. Design of housing and piston with rod in hydraulic cylinder is optimized. Housing is furnished with several belts f welded-on cradles spaced in length of housing for placing and fastening of own and transit outrigger feed pipelines, said pipelines being secured by clamps. All load-bearing parts of hydraulic cylinder are made of medium-carbon low-alloy steel strengthened by thermomechanical machining, and high quality supporting-and-sealing members are used for mating and sealing components of movable joints.
