Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: chemical technology, adsorption technique. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes method for regeneration of activated carbon with depleted adsorption operating life in different processes that involves heating carbon and treatment with steam. Heating is carried out up to 200-250 C at the rate of temperature rise 25-30 C/min, up to 600-650 C at the rate 15-20 C/min and up to 700-850 C at the rate 8-12 C/min and cooling is carried out in steam atmosphere feeding at the rate 0.3-0.6 M/s. Method ensures to enhance adsorption capacity of regenerated sorbent by mean-molecular and high-molecular substances (polluting agents), for example, by iodine, methylene blue and molasses.
