agricultural production. SUBSTANCE: strip drill has rotavator section, seed box with seeding unit, covering device and covering roller, which are sequentially mounted on frame. Rotavator section has working tool comprising two disks carrying alternately arranged L-shaped knives with inward directed wings. Tines and outer points of L-shaped knife wings are arranged in plane of drive knives. Working tool is coupled to drive knives through planetary gears. Rotavator working tool is covered with housing having adjustable height seed guide arranged in rear part of housing. Force applied by rotavator section and covering roller to soil is regulated by springs. Shaft carrying planetary mechanism sun gears is made in the form of telescopic connection allowing drive knives spacing to be changed and fixed. Drill of such construction may be used for strip drilling on stubble and sod. EFFECT: simplified and compact construction, reduced power consumption, and wider operational capabilities by variable width of rotavator section tool. 2 cl, 3 dwg
