SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of preparing N,N'- tetramethyl-methylenediamine salts of the formula (I) where R is H, CH3 or CO2H that can be used for protection of cotton industrial strains from wilt. Compounds show growth-regulating and fungicide effect and act as immunostimulating agents in winter rye and other cereals plantings. Method involves interaction of dimethylamine an aqueous solution with formal in and organic acid at 20-30 C taken in the ratio (CH3)-NH : CH2O : RCO2H = (2-2.1):(1-1.1):1, respectively, for 3-5 h. The yield of the end product is 95-100% in a single- -stage process without use of deficient solvents. EFFECT: increased yield, simplified method. 1 tbl
