Zusammenfassung:electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: plug connector incorporates provision for overvoltage protection by means of fixed resistors having nonlinear current-voltage characteristic. Receptacle has base with jacks and cover rigidly fixed to base; variable resistor is placed under cover in parallel with contact jacks. Variable resistor is made of zinc oxide base material and has wire leads. It is made in the form of disk and its dissipation energy is minimum 10 J with nonlinearity factor of minimum 20. Variable resistor is coated with noncombustible compound such as that based on boron nitride. EFFECT: reduced space requirement, improved comfort in servicing. 2 cl, 2 dwg
