description FIELD: mining machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: pulse-action rotator can be used in drilling machines and particularly in rotary-feeding mechanisms. Pulse-action rotator has electric motor, reduction unit, and oscillation generator which is made up of power-driven shaft and moving rotor connected to power-driven shaft. Stator is connected with reduction unit and is installed for possible interaction with rotor. Stator is provided with cams, rotor is provided with rollers. Rotor is spring-biased along axis of power-driven shaft which is located in stator bearings for possible rotation and axial displacement together with rotor. Such design of rotator in which oscillation generator is made in the form of spring-cam mechanism allows for producing torsional vibrations simultaneously with striking pulses when drilling hard rock matter. This widens range of drilling operations. In addition, drilling operation duty is adjusted automatically by means of same spring-cam mechanism when axial thrust of tool depends on hardness of rock matter. This is done without use of special tools and without stopping of drilling process. Application of pulse-action rotator allows for reducing power input, increasing productive capacity together with simplification of design. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
