Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy and alloy technology. SUBSTANCE: titanium waste is granulated, granules are mixed with titanium hydride powder, and resulting mixture is compacted into ingots. The latter are heated and extruded into pellets that are further joined at least in pairs through titanium hydride interlayer, e. g. in the form of plate. As tight protective shell, hollow cylinder of refractory heat-resistant alloy with extrusion-destined bottom hole is used. Heating is carried out in two steps: first, oxides contained on surface and in surface layer (up to depth constituting 20% of average granule thickness) of granules are dissolved in granule bulk at temperature not exceeding 400 C and then joined preforms are heated to achieve thermal surface hydrogen charging accomplished by complete layered decomposition of titanium hydride within joined preform. Productivity of process is increased by a factor of at least 1.5-1.6. EFFECT: reduced production cost and improved quality of product (by 20-25%). 2 cl, 3 dwg |
