Zusammenfassung:FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes polycarbosilanes containing metallic clusters of general formula: wherein n is equal or more than 6; m is 0.001-1; R1,R2,R are CH3, C2H5, -CH=CH2 and -CH2CH=CH2; Cl are clusters of III-VIII group transition metals. Said polycarbosilanes are useful for preparing highly strong heat-resistant composite ceramic materials. Coordination compounds of III-VIII group transition metals are reacted at 150-450 C with silanes of general formula (2) or (3) or with carbosilanes of general formula (4) or with mixtures thereof. If desired, reaction mixture is maintained at 150-450 C for 0.5-5 hours on addition of metallic compounds. In formula (2), (3) and (4) a is equal or more than 2, b is equal or more than 4, K is 0-10, r is 1-10; R1,R2SiR3R R,R1,R2,R3,R are H,-CH3,-C2H 5,-CH=CH2,-CH2-CH=CH2.
