METHOD FOR DRILLING HOLES IN COVER PLATES

FIELD: machine engineering, for example rigging for drilling holes in cover plates. SUBSTANCE: method for drilling holes in cover plates comprises steps of drilling first row of holes at one feed stroke by means of several spindles at rate combining quick feed motion and slow feed motion beginning from time moment of drill approaching to blank; drilling second row of holes after linearly feeding bed with blank to drilling position; realizing drilling operations of both rows of holes in automatic cycle according to pickup signals with use of algorithm organizing the whole process by means of 10 operations. Slow feed mode is realized by means of braking sleeves of pneumatic cylinders for feeding spindles. Cover plate is clamped by means of flexible steel band and it is oriented and fixed on bed along lateral faces and end surface once during the whole cycle. Method allows to achieve efficiency 150-200 cover plates for hour. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 cl, 9 dwgm
