Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: in process of combustion and expansion, gases force pistons 3 to move translationally. This motion is taken up by spherical solids of revolution (balls) 6 arranged in semispherical sockets 5 on piston and cylinder. Spherical solids engaging with slots 2 made in cylinder 1 and slots 4 made in piston 3 roll along curvilinear endless profiles of slots, thus converting translational movement of piston into rotation which is conveyed from spherical solids (balls) to pistons. Rotary motion from pistons is transmitted to output shaft 7 by means of gears 8 through splined bushings 10 coupled with pistons and splined shafts 9 on which gears 8 are mounted. Splined shaft and bushing play part of transfer mechanism. EFFECT: improved reliability of engine at heavy dynamic loads, possibility of forcing (increasing power) of engine by changing (increasing) working stroke and stability of piston with prevention of cocking and wedging. 2 dwgp |
