description FIELD: environment control technology. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for localization of oil slicks over surface of water basins and rivers. Boom-type barrier is made up of permeable cylindrical shell which is filled with oil sorbent and in its lower type it is conjugated with resilient vertical strip. Strip has cut-through flaps and in its lower part is provided with plumb bobs. Height of strip exceeds characteristic amplitude of waves in water basin. Sorbent is of density which is less than density of oil. Density of spreading separated flaps on vertical strip over horizontal line is increased proportionally to depth of strip immersion in water. Under pressure head of water stream, flaps of vertical strip located in clear water are bent off to open holes in strip, and therefore proportion of water flows out, thus reducing sailing effect of boom-type barrier. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwge
