SUBSTANCE: limit value of cutting depth is determined step by step at least in three preset zones of working space of machine tool. At cutting standard blank possible restriction values of limit cutting depth caused by effective cutting power and torque are determined. According to combination of said possible restriction values in each zone, value of limit common characteristics of vibration proofness is determined in working zone of machine tool with use of given formula .
