Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: reconditioning of worn-out parts, in particular, flanges of seamless rolled railway wheels by surfacing method. SUBSTANCE: reconditioning metal is surfaces onto the worn- out flange of the railway wheel, then the wheel is cooled down, and the flange base and flange of the wheel are heated up to 180 deg. C at surfacing with welding wire containing carbon 9 to 6.5 times lower than base metal, chromium - within 0.9 to 1.2%. When welding wire containing carbon 9 to 6.5 times lower than base metal, molybdenum-within 0.5 to 1.2%, vanadium - within 0.2 to 0.5%, the wheel flange base and the flange are heated up to 20 to 150 C. Heating is accomplished in an electric furnace furnished with a thermocouple and muffles with uniformly arranged heaters at rotation of wheel pair at a speed of 1.5 to 2.0 rpm. The difference in metal temperature on the flange surface should not exceed 10 to 15 C. Surfacing is conducted by two automatic welders, electrodes are inclined from the vertical at an angle of 15 to 20 C, the distance between electrodes is up to 50 mm, and electrodes are shifted across the weld in the direction of the flange by 1.5 to 2.5 mm, surfacing is conducted at an electric arc voltage of 28 V, current within 250 to 300 A. EFFECT: enhanced quality. 3 cl |
