Zusammenfassung:FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, production of carbon and alloyed steels. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging onto furnace bottom of metal scrap in the amount of 70% of total weight of charge, and metal scrap is melted. Then the second portion of metal scrap is added and powdery exothermal mixture in fraction of 0.01-3.00 mm in the amount of 5-100% of weight of the second portion of metal scrap is blown simultaneously into liquid bath in jet of nitrogen. Powdery exothermal mixture contains 20-70% of iron in the form of powdery iron ore, scale or dust of smoke flues of metallurgical furnaces, and reducing agent, the balance.
