UNIT FOR TEST OF PRODUCTS FOR INFLUENCE OF EXTERNAL PRESSURE

FIELD: test of products for influence of external pressure, mainly mines, shells and rockets, whose lateral surface during movement in barrel (launching tube) is influenced by the pressure of combustion products of the propellant charge or rocket engine. SUBSTANCE: the unit uses a working chamber connected to the pressure source, and a measuring and recording system; the working chamber is installed on the product under test with an annular radial clearance, it is furnished with attachment assemblies spaced at the edges on the outer surface of the product under test and an orifice communicating with the atmosphere, the pressure source is made as an impulse powder gas generator. The assemblies for attachment of the working chamber on the product under test may be made in the form of rubber rings pressed by ring flanges to the annular bosses made on the inner surface of the working chamber. It is better to make the orifice on the side of the front edge of the product under test, and connection to the pressure source should be made from the opposite edge.
