Cuvette for pulsed high pressure gas lasers with a cross dimension has a pre-ionisation source and primary discharge electrodes. The pre-ionisation source is made in form of two flat parallel electrodes placed perpendicular to the primary electrodes forming lateral walls of the cuvette. The surface of the electrodes facing inside the cuvette are coated with insulating material, for example ferroelectric ceramic. ^ EFFECT: low supply voltage and highly reliable operation. ^ 1 dwg
