Procedeul se realizeaza simplu prin utilizarea de materii prime si reactivi usor accesibili. Preparatul obtinut are un grad redus de heterogenitate moleculara; el poate fi utilizat fie ca agent mitogen, fie ca stimulator al aparitiei cromozomilor metafizici ai unor celule de origine animala.
