Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to an unconventional textile material based on sheep wool, recycled PET waste fibres, recycled textile wastes and plant-based fibres, the material being meant to be used in the field of constructions, for insulation of buildings, and to a process for manufacturing the same. According to the invention, the material is presented as a mattress-type non-woven fibrous layer comprising a mixture of fibres from the following materials: 25...35% open textile wastes from sheep wool, 10...20% siliconized fibre of plant origin Lyiocell from the TENCEL brand, 20...30% biocomponent fibre of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and 25...35% post-industrial polyester textile fibre (PES), the percentage being expressed by weight, the material having a density in the range of 15...40 kg/m3 and a non-woven fibrous layer thickness in the range of 20...60 cm, being subjected to antistatic and antimicrobial treatment against insects, mites and molds. The process, as claimed by the invention, comprises the following stages: opening and uncontrolled breaking of thick washed wool, so that its fibres length becomes similar to the length of semi-fine wool fibres, opening the fibres from recycled textile wastes, gravimetrically dosing the four types of fibres, namely: sheep wool, recycled PET waste fibres, recycled textile wastes and plant-based fibres, making the fibre mixture, treating the fibre mixture by spraying it with substances with antistatic and antimicrobial effect against insects, mites and molds, followed by formation of the thermally-insulating mattress-type non-woven fibrous layer using a carding-folding process, thermal consolidation of the non-woven tridimensional fibrous layer by passing it through an oven, at a temperature which is 10...30°C lower than the temperature of thermal degradation of textile, wool and plant-based fibres, but high enough for melting heat-sealable fibres, cooling the non-woven fibrous layer, cutting and rolling the product.
